A DIFFERENT WAY TO DO SCHOOL

Parent and Child

Online learning. Real teachers. A school built to prepare students for what's next.

Cyber Academy of South Carolina is a tuition-free public charter school serving South Carolina students in grades K-12.

With certified teachers, live instruction, personalized support, and opportunities that extend beyond the virtual classroom, CASC gives students an individualized way to learn while remaining connected to a real school community.

School Can Look Different Without Giving Up Support

Choosing an online school doesn't mean choosing to do school alone. At CASC, students learn from home while receiving guidance and support from South Carolina-certified teachers and school staff. Depending on grade level and student needs, the CASC experience can include live classes, teacher support, academic intervention, enrichment opportunities, and opportunities to connect with other students.

At CASC, families can expect:

  • Tuition-free public education for eligible South Carolina students

  • South Carolina-certified teachers

  • Live online classes and teacher interaction

  • Structured academic support

  • College & career preparation

  • Honors, gifted and talented, CTE, and other academic opportunities

  • Dual enrollment opportunities for eligible high school students

  • AVID college and career readiness support

  • In-person events, activities, and student experiences

  • Access to blended learning support through The Heron Institute Learning Lab and other programs when available

Is CASC Right for Your Student?

Families choose virtual school for all kinds of reasons. CASC may be worth exploring if your student would benefit from:

  • A different learning environment: A school experience outside the traditional classroom while still having teachers, structure, expectations, and support

  • More visibility into learning: Families can take a more active role in understanding what students are learning and how they are progressing

  • Academic opportunities from home: Students can access a range of courses and programs while learning in an online environment

  • A school community beyond the screen: Students have opportunities to participate in activities, outings, events, and other ways to connect throughout the year.
